Why can not I see the Start menu and my taskbar? - meaning in Urdu

Although later versions of Windows have changed slightly, all versions of Windows from XP onwards offer you the possibility to customize the taskbar and the “Start” menu. By customizing these tools, you may change some things by accident. If you share your workspace with another person, it is also possible that this person has decided to play a joke and have changed the settings of your taskbar and the “Start” menu.

Hide behind Windows

Unless you have the taskbar set so that it is always on top of other windows, sometimes it can hide behind the windows you have open. Think of it like looking at a group of people waiting in a row. From one side, you can see that there are many people, but if you are looking back from the front, it is difficult to see them all, even though they are still there. Minimize all open windows, or keep the “Alt” and “Tab” keys pressed until you reach your desktop. Now you should see the taskbar.

Accidental reduction

It is possible to reduce the taskbar or make it thicker, depending on your personal preference. If you reduce it to a very thin strip, you may not realize it’s there when you look for it. If you minimize the open windows and move the mouse over the top, bottom and side of the monitor, but the taskbar does not appear, look for a very thin strip that protrudes from your desk. Once you see it, move the mouse over, hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the center of the monitor. You will drag the taskbar from its hiding place and you can adjust it to any size you want.

Change the properties of the taskbar

Right-clicking on the taskbar will bring up a small menu that allows you to adjust the settings of the taskbar, whether or not it is locked in place. Although blocking it will not prevent someone with access to your computer from doing a reconfiguration as a joke, it can act as a deterrent, as any naughty will have to unlock the taskbar in order to move it. You can access more options from the taskbar and from the “Start” menu, by going to the Control Panel in your “Start” menu. Here, you can choose whether or not you want the taskbar to be automatically hidden, place toolbars for other applications and modify the presentation of the “Start” menu.
